Lutron integration
The solution makes full use of the high-precision temperature sensor built into the Lutron Palladiom thermostat. It senses the room temperature in real time, while the Dropair adapter finely regulates the Daikin air conditioner to provide more stable and accurate indoor temperature control.
In addition to Daikin air conditioner control, the solution can support different system combinations according to project requirements:
One Lutron Palladiom panel and one Dropair adapter can manage multiple comfort systems through a unified interface, reducing the operating complexity created by multiple control panels and third-party gateways.
Dropair dynamically adjusts the Daikin air conditioner setpoint according to the target temperature, actual room temperature, and the direction and rate of temperature change. This makes full use of the continuous modulation capability of inverter air conditioners.
Instead of simply forwarding a third-party thermostat setpoint directly to the air conditioner, this dynamic control method can reduce insufficient heating in winter and excessive cooling in summer, keeping the actual room temperature closer to the user's target.
When the room approaches or reaches the target temperature, the system does not simply switch the air conditioner off immediately. It continues to regulate the Daikin air conditioner according to room-temperature changes so that comfort is maintained more smoothly.
This can reduce temperature swings, sudden loss of airflow, stuffiness, and frequent air conditioner cycling, improving overall comfort.
The solution supports several winter heating modes:
When a room needs to warm up quickly, the air conditioner can provide supplementary heating. After the room reaches the target temperature and begins to stabilize, the underfloor heating can take over the main heat-maintenance role, balancing fast warm-up with sustained comfort.
While underfloor heating is operating, the Daikin air conditioner can run in fan-only mode to create gentle, continuous air circulation and distribute rising warm air more evenly throughout the room.
This can reduce vertical temperature differences, improve perceived comfort, and may reduce the need to raise the underfloor heating setpoint simply to compensate for local temperature differences.
Dropair combines the design and high-precision room sensing of Lutron Palladiom with Daikin air conditioning, underfloor heating, and ventilation systems. Users can enjoy a unified, intuitive, and more comfortable indoor climate experience without managing multiple controllers.
